the essence of Shakti Photography
Shakti Photography was born from a deep passion for celebrating the beauty, strength, and divine essence of women. As a mother, I’ve been profoundly inspired by the transformative journey of motherhood, which led me to create a space where women can embrace their power and femininity through photography.
Through my work, I aim to create timeless imagery that honors the divine energy within every woman, allowing her to feel seen, celebrated, and empowered.
The name Shakti comes from Sanskrit and represents the sacred feminine energy - the force of creation, transformation, and divine power that exists within every woman.
My love for maternity and feminine photography began with a personal photoshoot that left me feeling deeply connected to this essence.
That experience ignited my desire to help other women step into their radiance and see themselves in a new, powerful light.

At 36 weeks pregnant, I had the Mother's Blessing shoot with Amanda. I chose her because her vision of capturing the feminine definition spoke to me so much.
The shoot felt like a beautiful ceremony. Amanda guided me through the shoot in such a beautiful way. She allowed me, my partner and kids to connect with our baby girl. I felt in my feminine power, connected to my baby girl in my belly and was so incredibly enjoying the moment.
So the shoot was already successful, but when I received the photos it was totally complete!!! Enormously happy with the result and it totally matches the feeling I wanted and had during the shoot.

One word: Magical!
Everything went very organically, starting with the meeting online, keeping contact before the shoot, during the shoot and after receiving the photos.
During the shoot I felt very at ease, we were shooting with my mother and my 8 month old baby. Amanda went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect and made us feel blissful while posing. It felt more like we were having a fun time at the beach!
I received the pictures today and am in tears with how absolutely beautiful they are! These pictures will stay with us for ever. Thanks to Shaktiphotography. I will 100% shoot with them again!
